i-pix is the sum of its people, the team that makes the company tick. We have our finger on the pulse of what lighting designers want to see with modern high power led fixtures. We pride ourselves on being different by listening to the design community closely. Over many years our core team of designers have gained an invaluable grounding in all aspects of lighting design, working up to where we are today. We have over 100 years combined lighting experience.
As lighting designers become more savvy in fixture choice, additive colour mixing saves in power and as the we grow our systems allow for real energy saving opportunities, whilst increasing overall reliability with rig designs.
ipix operate from a purpose built facility on the outskirts of Manchester, England. We have a dedicated R&D facility and a produce our entire range to high build standards in house, enabling hire companies and installations to benefit from robust tourable durable fixtures.
Practical design

We don't compromise, that's it. We test all our fixtures using the latest thermal imaging technology from our R&D facility. We test to an ambient temperature of 46 degrees, run the fixtures at full, and drive them over at least 16 hours. From this we have accommodated for every eventuality. There is no electronic limiting within our design. |
Source and Optics

We use a custom specification 30 watt combined RGB light engine in our BB series and K2 leds in our trusty satellite fixture. The BB series marks a new step in homogenized control of the high powered source, with colour choice and tolerances to our exacting requirements. Transducin optics designed our secondary optics and offer a fresh approach, in homogenized RGB optics, setting us apart from the tessellated RGB leds in common use today, as used in our first fixture, the satellite. |
Power and Control
Our custom electronics have been developed for a fine 16 bit resolution control of the BB series as well as 8 bit normal control of dmx as used in our satellite.
The software and electronics are designed to last the rigors of daily use, simple to setup, simple in delivery. Slave DMX control or stand alone in built control. Our power supplies are designed to run at only 40% on full load, so there's little stress applied to these supplies. Our integral power sources come with a three year warranty as standard.
Build quality
Experience is everything and hope our in house skills will ensure that we offer as much fixture versatility in operation you would expect from designers who have actually rigged and de rigged numerous shows. As lighting designers, our past practical and visual know how should ensure that we have covered most angles.
Good, honest lights, that do what's expected of them. Reliable in use and good enough to compete alongside other fixtures, helping move the debate onto energy saving ideas.
We hope the lighting tools we develop will go someway to show that you can save energy and not loose any impact.
We have spent the last two years in developing our new purpose built facility in a former mill. In house testing, design, production, sales, marketing and administration are all under one roof.
Our hire and installation customers have direct access to the entire team and we nurture with pride, close contact with our sales and distribution providing ongoing support.
We have a new demonstration facility and offer an open house policy to visitors from around the world, interested in what we do.
